Marketing Director
Who are We?
Brunk Auctions is a top tier auctioneer of fine art, jewelry, decorative arts, silver, coins, wine, and books. Located in Asheville, NC we are celebrating 40 years in business, this second generation family enterprise has grown from a regional house to a significant presence on the national and international scene. This anniversary milestone has brought with it new branding, plans for updated interior and exterior spaces as well as plans for continued, measured growth. We have been building our brand for 40 years and we are proud of the work we do.
Who are you?
We are looking for a Marketing Director with the skills and vision to guide us into this next phase of expansion and continuing technological evolution. The successful candidate will have experience coordinating a marketing plan that takes advantage of internal skill sets as well as contractor relationships. We sell over 10,000 lots/year and average 1-2 auctions each month. Print and digital advertising is ongoing for various auctions and across a number of outlets. There is a lot going on at Brunk Auctions and we need you to market it well – start to finish. You must be proactive, creative, hard working and committed to excellence.
Requirements:
Auction house or art world experience a plus
Excellent writing and editing skills are a necessity
The successful candidate will be able to research specific antique and art movements/trends/artists and write engaging copy for marketing purposes, be able to research and compile information about antique/art offerings pre and post auction cycles and write press releases, create advertising copy, work closely with co-workers to create sales proposals
Must possess strong organizational skills to insure the timely delivery of projects, as well as a strong work ethic with an enthusiasm to provide superior results
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress, with the ability to create impactful digital advertisements
Researching, creating and developing a long-range marketing plan to help the company tap into new markets of buyers and sellers. Identifying different marketing channels for the organization and creating different marketing programs to best maximize their potential
Working closely with Analytics Manager to ascertain the effectiveness of online campaigns and allocating future advertising/marketing dollars
Proven record in team management

Property Management
International art and antique auction house seeking full time team member(s) to assist in the daily handling, management, transport and exhibition of fine art and antiques. Experience in handling fine furniture, paintings and decorative arts a plus, but not a requirement. Daily hours are m-f, 9-5, although travel is required and no day is ever the same. Saturday work required during auctions. Family owned and operated business, excellent benefits, overtime and bonus pay. Serious work within a stimulating, friendly atmosphere. Room for growth.
