Two Rare Francois-Xavier Martin Titles

(Franco-American, 1762-1846), immigrated to North Carolina just before the end of the American Revolutionary War, author of an early North Carolina history, including [A Treatise on the Powers and Duties of Executors and Administrators. According to the Law of North Carolina], Newbern: Martin & Ogden, 1803, bound in leather, morocco spine label, gilt lettering to spine label, 8-1/2 x 5-1/4 in.; and [Martin's Treatise on the Powers and Duties of Executors and Administrators. According to the Law of North Carolina, Revised and adapted to the existing Law by a Gentleman of the Profession], Raleigh, Printed by J. Gales, 1820, bound in three quarter leather, 8-1/4 x 5 in.
