Two Chinese Jade Belt Hooks on Gilt Bronze Boxes

Qing dynasty and early Republic, two gilt bronze boxes decorated with ten dragons done in repousse, each box with a nephrite jade belt hook (dating to the Qing dynasty) attached to top lid, interiors lined with a dark hardwood, both boxes marked "China" on bases, 2-1/2 x 6 x 3-3/4 in.

Note:

Please note that the belt hooks are Qing dynasty and the boxes are early Republic.

Condition:

one belt hook with occlusions near dragon head with restorations near head with glue remnants, small chip to underside of other end of hook, minimal scratching to under side of boxes consistent with age and use
