NOte: The Puccini letter is written to his cousin, Otilie Del Carlo. After hearing news that her husband had experienced a fainting spell, he expresses his concern. Puccini goes on to tell her that he has sent along his portrait. Mention is then made of travel plans to Lucca, Torre, and Buenos Aires. The letter closes with “a thousand kisses” to everyone.
