Rare Sharp & Hamilton Cavalry Sword
36 in. blade, marked on ricasso "SHARP & HAMILTON/(opposite side)NASHVILLE, TENN" in cartouche, carved wood grip with brown leather and twisted copper wire and bird's head pommel; with scabbard likely made in Columbus, Georgia; includes sell sheet from Morphy/James Julia, copy of Nashville map showing factory location, black and white image of factory

Condition:
some weakness at stamping "HV" (NAS**ILLE) although nicer marks than typically encountered, blade with some staining and pitting, hilt smooth with scattered abrasions, darker patina to brass; scabbard missing soldered collar and leather washer (as a result sword protrudes approximately 1/4 in.)
