Rare New England Pilgrim Century Carved Chest
"Hadley" chest attributed to Guilford, Connecticut, 1670-1710, oak throughout with hinged lid and open interior set with a till, paneled sides over a single side-hung drawer, early red brown surface with ebonized moldings over central front panels, retains a fine old surface, 32-1/2 x 38-1/2 x 19-1/2 in.

Condition:
front board of top likely an old replacement, hinges replaced, otherwise excellent condition, some minor edge chips to original top boards,other minor surface wear and abrasions, does not appear to have lost any height
