Pair Tang Dynasty Style Polychrome Pottery Dancers
Chinese, two similar crouched figures with double bun coiffures and wearing robes with extending sleeves, buff colored pottery with red and black pigment, red accession numbers verso, both approximately 8-1/4 in.
Provenance:Property from the Collection of Senator Hugh Scott, now the Property of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
Condition:
one dancer with repair to right arm and front hem of robe; other dance with two repairs to left arm and possible repair to neck; both with extensive wear, abrasions and small chips
