Large Wari Figural Vessel

Peru, 500-800 A.D., a finely decorated black, red, and cream anthropomorphic vessel, protruding nose, ears, mouth, wearing an elaborate tunic, double handles, 13 in.

Provenance:Private North Carolina Collection; Probably Mathias Komor, New York, New York, circa 1960s or 1970s; A signed statement from the consignor regarding the provenance of this object will be provided to the buyer.

Condition:

old cracks and restoration to base and right side up to neck and rim, paint touch up; affixed to wooden base and not removed at time of inspection
