20th century, probably Cape Dorset, woman/seal spirit figure carved in white veined marble, incised syllabics and Canada Eskimo Art label on bottom, 19 in.

Provenance:Purchased Toronto, 1950's; Private Florida Collection

Condition:

large crack on right side from hair line through shoulder, small vertical crack at bottom in front of hand as shown in photographs, scattered abrasions especially on bottom
