Portrait of a Seated Woman with Goldfinch, said to be Madame La Comtesse d'Humières, at her Chateau in Majorie per a hand written note verso which also attributes the painting to "Beaulieu" (Brossard de Beaulieu, 1727-1810), possibly a 19th century copy, unsigned, oil on canvas, 40-1/2 x 32 in.; gilt wood and composition frame, 49-1/4 x 39-1/4 in.

Note: Retains the calling card verso of the Comtesse Jules d'Humières (1842-1885).

original stretcher and tacking edge with deterioration, canvas slack, crackle, cupping, cleavage, flaking, dirt layer, crackle, patch verso with associated retouch
