Framed Robert E. Lee Historical Memorabilia

Bremo Plantation, Virginia, including lock of Robert E. Lee's hair, lock from the mane of Lee's horse Traveler, an engraving of Lee, and a note by M. B. Cocke dated June 9, 1870, indicating "hair taken from the mane of Gen. R.E. Lee's horse Traveler, Bremo, Aug. 18, 1865" and "a piece of Gen.R.E. Lee's hair given to me this morning by Mrs. Lee just before she left with her daughter", copy of letter verso dated July 28th, 1865, expressing gratitude for the care given to his horse, along with a small envelope addressed to Mr. "Chas C. Cocke" containing a lock of Traveler's mane, all mounted on a velvet ground with later frame, 14-1/2 x 22 in.
