American, 19th/20th century, one for carbine cartridges, attributed to Hoover, Calhoun & Co., unmarked, flap opens to inner flap over box, covered pocket, 4 x 8 x 2 in.; one for pistols, unmarked, with front flap, 4 x 6 x 1-1/2 in; one for caps, unmarked, flap opens to inner flap over box, 3 x 3-1/2 x 1-1/2 in.; together one modern, after late 19th century McKeever, embossed "US" front, "pac./ord./ca./maker" back, pockets hinged on brass rode, interior stitched to contain 20 .45-70 cartridges, 4 x 6-1/2 x 1-3/4 in.

Condition:

first with crazed, hardened leather, missing elements, break at side, oxidation at metal; second with highly crazed leather, latch, belt loops intact, missing inner element; third with highly crazed outer leather, latch, belt loops intact, inner leather in excellent condition, missing inner elements; fourth in good condition
