Cabinet Portrait of a Gentleman, unsigned, numbered verso "IX", 19th century or earlier, oil on heavy copper panel, 8 x 6-1/2 in.; gilt wood and composition frame, 11-3/4 x 10-1/4 in.

Note: This portrait was initially thought by Ivor Noel Hume to be a version of one of the Kit Cat Club members. This likeness does not appear in the portraits both pictured and listed by the National Portrait Gallery, London, but is stylistically similar.
