Five Chinese Export Lacquered and Gilt Boxes

19th century, all with black lacquer ground and gilt chinoiserie decoration, of varying size and form, including: two tea caddies, hinged lids opening to divided interior compartments, one with two tin tea canisters, both on figural dragon form feet, larger 5-1/4 x 9-1/4 x 7 in.; three document and writing boxes, one with fitted divided interior compartments and locking document drawer with key, largest 5-1/4 x 14-1/4 x 10-1/2 in.

Condition:

surface dirt and accretion, scattered scratches, bumps, and cracks throughout, some chips and losses at edges, scattered losses to lacquer and gilt decoration; one tea caddy with several chips and losses to lid, some dents and warping to tea canisters, crack to lid underside; one tea caddy with chips and losses to figural feet; largest document box with cracks and possible repairs to lid, some separations at corners, lacking lid finials; one document box with metal feet mounts loose (one missing screw)
