Fine Chinese Cloisonne and Gilt Lidded Censer

probably late Qing dynasty, pierced lid with stylized bats and clouds, on a squat round form flanked with bat mask handles, supported on three figural legs emerging from gilt foo dog masks, terminating in a columnar shaft on a round base, brightly enamel decorated throughout with floral and geometric elements on turquoise ground, borders of gilt Greek key pattern on red ground along the rim and base, Lao Tian Li mark to base, 13-1/4 in.; with a black painted wood base with cabriole paw legs, 16-1/2 in.

overall good condition, some minor areas of enamel and gilt loss and surface discoloration, very tiny pinholes throughout, seams visible along foo dog masks (likely as made) with some commensurate hairlines, interior vessel and interior lid are unglazed, lid rim slightly bent out of shape, some scratches and abrasions, other typical surface wear consistent with age and use; base with light wear
