(Lincoln County, North Carolina, 1805-1867) exceptional runny olive green alkaline glaze, bulbous form, "D S" stamped at shoulder above "2", three ringed angled neck, thick collared rim, thick ridged strap handle, 14-1/2 in.

glaze voids and anomalies as made, 1/4 in. and 1/2 in. glaze chips to handle, minor glaze abrasions to other side of handle's edge, area of abrasions to jar left of the stamp, other abrasions around belly of jug, minor chips to base edge some as made, two minor glaze frits to rim
