American, 19th century, round 40 in. barrel marked "VP/1863", barrel tang marked "T", middle and top barrel band marked "U" lock plate marked "U.S./COLTS PTF A MFG CO/HARTFORD CT/1864", double "X" on barrel forward nipple, armorial eagle on nipple, wood stock carved "33" on both sides, lanyards, raised front sight, rear sight with two heights

Provenance:From the Estate of Judge David Creekmore, Knoxville, Tennessee

Condition:

one barrel band missing screw and possibly replaced, pitting to barrel and sights, wood with scratches, gouges, discoloration, loss to wood at butt and a 7 in. vertical crack to right side of butt, bottom rear sight fused into place
