possibly Han dynasty, square shaped, paint decorated with partial masks and ring handles, cover with small slits on each ridge, with original advertisement in Antiques and The Arts Weekly, December 10, 1993, illustrating the jar and indicated it came from the estate of George Marvin, Ambassador to China (1904-1909), 17-1/2 in.
