Chinese Carved Jade or Hardstone Ruyi Scepter
pale green in color with white inclusions, handle decorated in relief with birds amongst trees, top of scepter with bird and symbol, with label that reads "FL 64 64 18th Century XLP" (accessioned in 1964), 14-1/8 x 3-1/8 x 1-1/2 in.; with gold velvet pillow
Note: Tests as jadeite on the Presidium Gem Tester II.

Condition:
inclusion at top in bird's tail, inclusion at tail end of scepter with 1/2 in. area of possible old strengthening agent that has been discolored, three small chips to leaves on handle
