Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Jar

with underglaze blue double circle mark, probably Kangxi period, ovoid form decorated with a figure riding a qilin and holding a ruyi scepter, with four other figures waving flags and banners in a garden setting, carved and pierced wooden lid, overall 9 x 8 in. [bw]

Note: A blue and white Kangxi porcelain jar with similar figural decoration from the Art Institute of Chicago sold at Christie's, New York, in September of 2019 for $8,125.
