British, mid 17th century, Cavalier and Lady, grotto and pond below, leopard and lion in bottom corners, castles with mica windows in upper corners, silk, metallic thread and bead accents on silk ground, raised and detached buttonhole elements, 8-1/2 x 12 in.; 18th century, reverse profile cushion tortoise veneer frame, 17-3/4 x 14-1/4 in.
