Asian Openwork Silver Bowl with Glass Liner

probably Japanese, late 19th century, birds in trees decoration, unmarked, test .900 or better, 5.12 oz. T. weighable silver, 2-1/2 x 5 in.

Note: Objects from this personal collection were acquired in Shanghai, China between the years 1862-1902. They were collected by Frederick and Margaret Haskell. Mr. Haskell was the owner of the Japan and China Trading Company. The couple retired to Lake Weir Florida in 1902, bringing these collected objects with them to the United States and they descended through the family to current day. These objects are now being offered to the public for the first time by Brunk Auctions.
